My husband and I recently celebrated the Christening of our 9 month old twin boys, Lucas and Isaac.
Of course the first thing I thought of when planning the Christening celebrations was the dessert buffet. I followed on from the same colour theme from our invitations with the blue, brown and white colour scheme for the buffet.
I used wooden ‘L’, ‘&’ and ‘I’ as the feature of the dessert buffet behind the cake.

The cake was the top tier of our wedding cake, which has been frozen for the past 4 years! It had kept really well and still tasted delicious. I re-iced it and decided to keep the design simple so as not to take away from the rest of the dessert buffet.
Printables were used for the food labels, chocolate bar wrappers and cupcake flags. pARTy printables are available on my website www.partycakescanberra.com

Wooden spoons were personalised with ‘Lucas & Isaac’
I used a large circle punch and scrapbooking paper for the circle garland at the front of the buffet, using the sewing machine to join the circles.
Paper medallions hung on the wall behind the table. These were made from scrapbooking paper, wrapping paper (including brown paper to match the table runner) and pARTy printables paper to match the other printables used on the table (available HERE)
The Peter Rabbit book on the table in front of the macarons was my husband’s book when he was 3 years old. It is in pretty good condition for it’s age and tied in well with the colour scheme on the table.

That’s brilliant Liz. Love how you recycled your wedding cake – what better occasion to do so!
And the Peter Rabbit book even looks like it has been read which leads me to question if it was actually Alexs….
